Introduction
Thunderbird is only the email portion of the Mozilla software suite. We've found it be be stable, highly usable and very versatile. Moreover, it's free!
Download the newest version of Thunderbird here . It is available for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
Client Setup is easy, just take all the defaults and let it start Thunderbird when you are done installing it.
1. The first time you fire up Thunderbird it may give you a screen where you can import settings from another client, such as Outlook or Netscape.
So click next and set up a new account. You may add an account at any time by going to File > New > Account and then follow the following directions.
2. Enter your name and email address.
Example: Jane Doe

3. Change the incoming server type to POP. In the Incoming Server box, type "mail.yourdomain.com"
In the Outgoing Server box, type the name of the appropriate outgoing mail server (mail.yourdomain.com):
